Relationships

Relationships are a wonderful opportunity to expand ourselves as we connect with others. They give us our greatest challenges and our most pleasurable moments. I try to find time to feel thankful for both the good ones and the bad ones. Each one offers a unique gift.

Relationships are also keys to healing. The therapeutic relationship, our relationship with our own needs and desires. our relationship with our innate intelligence and our sources of friendship and support all play roles in the healing process. Recognizing the value of relationship and communication, I devoted a seminar to communication for healers and bodyworkers. It's called, "Communication Intensive". I think it offers something for nearly everyone, especially healers. I wanted to create a space for transformation. Is it for you? Trust your intuition (your most important communication). I'll see you there.

Natural Medicine

How is the natural health field progressing? Some say it is getting better and better. After all, alternative medicine is in the news. Some physicians have become household names talking about simple natural remedies and lifestyle changes. Medical doctors are finally recommending nutritional supplements (that was quackery a few years ago). Are you feeling complacent?

As usual, I think we should look deeper. The Pharmaceutical companies are not sitting idly by watching their profits fall. They have bought up most of the companies that sell nutritional supplements and most or all of the ones who manufacture or sell homeopathic medicine. They are now, for all practical purposes, in complete control of natural medicines. They haven't stopped the legislative push to require prescriptions for supplements, however. there is more profit to be made!

They are also still ruthlessly harassing practitioners of natural medicine. (The real practitioners. The ones who are curing all the incurable diseases, not the ones who are getting rich telling you to eat more blueberries) Thankfully, men like Tim Bolen have been fighting for natural medicine and have won quite a few victories in court. Mr. Bolen has saved many doctors from losing everything they own. I consider him to be a real hero.

There is more and it isn't good news. Remember how Osteopaths became just like the allopaths in order to survive. Naturopaths are pursuing a similar course. When a state licenses Naturopaths today, only graduates from certain schools are allowed to practice. Those schools have all the power. The way they practice is sometimes called "Green Allopathy". It looks and sounds like natural medicine. Look deeper.
Stay well.

Why these seminars?

Someone asked if there was a "rhyme or reason" to the list of seminars that I present. The answer is, YES! I now have a ten weekend, integrative Polarity Therapy course called Polarity Therapy Integration which is approved by the American Polarity Therapy Association. I am refining those weekends to insure that each one is a unique, unforgettable and awesome experience. That's why only a few of the classes are offered right now but, there will be more each year.

As great as polarity is, my passion for energy medicine goes beyond the concepts and techniques which strictly fit the polarity model. Touch For Health Kinesiology presents an entirely different approach to energy medicine. It is also an excellent intro to acupuncture theory. I use it every day.

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is such a powerful healing method that I have made it my specialty. It could fit into either of the previous two models or stand alone. The Upledger Institute does such an excellent job of teaching CST that I am content to present the two-day Introduction and the one-day Overview just to give people a taste of the method and some skills to take home.

I consider all of these seminars to be filled with vital information for healers. The skills and knowledge they offer is potentially life changing. That is why I include them.

Have a great week!
